The Stew Of Life

This is another TVB drama, The Stew Of Life which I missed out on posting. Its a family type drama. Not really that hype at all. Would prefer In The Chamber Of Bliss instead. Anyway, this drama is coming to an end soon in another 2 more weeks. If you have nothing else to watch, it is still watchable. I just don’t like the father in this drama. Damm nagging. Fala Chen is cute in this drama hairstyle. Hahaha.

The Taking Of Pelham 123

I went and watch The Taking Of Pelham 123 movie yesterday. It is a good movie. With good actors like John Travolta and Denzel Washington, they make the movie rocks. I didn’t know it was a remake of the original 1974 film. I haven’t even born at that time so obviously I haven’t watch that yet. I heard that the original one was much better. I will try to search for it and see if it is available online or not. For those who haven’t watch it, do please take some time and watch it at a cinema near you.

The Threshold Of A Persona

Try to watch this drama if you like immigration and police action. So far only up to episode 4 has been shown. You may watch more at TVBAddict or download it at TVBTorrent. I find it a bit slow in the first few episodes. Lets hope it gets better as more of the story unfolds.

The Gem of Life

I heard there is an 80 episode mini mega drama that is coming up from TVB. It is called The Gem of Life. This time the story is on diamonds and jewelry trade. Most part of the drama will be filmed in South Africa and Qingdao, China. The previous longest TVB drama that I watch was The Drive of Life where it was a long 60 episode drama. Anyway, to simplify it, the story is revolves around the struggle and rivalry of three sisters in the world of diamonds and jewels business which depicts an intricate, moving story. All in this 80 episode length drama. By the way, there are more synopsis of this drama over at TVBTorrent, http://tvbtorrent.com

Survival

Have you ever ponder to the question about “How would you survive if you were to get stranded somewhere unknown to you and worst, you have neither money nor resources?”

Think real hard and imagine yourself in this sticky situation.

Hey, I’m thinking about it too!

Let’s imagine the environment (worst case scenario): I imagine being in a huge city, just like the big apple of New York City. It is early in the wee hours and the rain clouds are building up. The cold gusts of wind swoosh at every step I take on the walkway. As big as those buildings are, as huge as the city it can be, yet there weren’t anyone in sight. It looks a lot like a ghost town to me.

“Too early for anyone to be up” I would think.

I am getting hungry and cold. My stomach is rumbling, nagging me to feed it. What can I do?

Begging?

That would neither bring me far nor bring me home any sooner.

Kill one of the citizen’s dog and cook it to its perfection?

Out of my league. I am better than that.

I would suggest to myself that the best thing to do is to find the most resourceful job yet lowest requirements and still giving me enough food to survive!

FAST FOOD RESTAURANTS.

I would definitely find one of the fast food restaurants and offer to do any lowest job possible from sweeping the floor to washing the dishes.

*Take note that I have neither money nor resources and in an unknown city*

The pay might be low, but I can save that money since I don’t have to spend in food. Fast food joints provide meal privileges to all their staffs. Even at the end of the day, any left over food are given to their staffs to bring home.

Furthermore, fast food joints provide uniforms that are comfortable enough to keep me warm in such cold weather.

If I need to sleep?

I can always offer to be the first and the last person at the fast food restaurant, taking chances to sleep in one of the comfortable spots!

Think about it, it is better than being a beggar and sleeping outside by the walkway!

Soon as I get used to this life, I would start saving money and find a way to get out of this city to find my home. Best place to search for what is going on around is the newspapers and asking people.

I’ll survive! I just know it! After all, this is just my wild imagination which can become useful in future if I do get into such situations!

Now on June 28th, Michael Weston, a CIA Operative on USA Network’s Burn Notice will show us how he survive when he is in a similar situation.
